about
Let’s face it. If getting fit is your only goal, all you really need is determination and a pair of sneakers. But that’s not the only reason you’re here! You’re here to be in community with incredible individuals who will inspire you, challenge you, and then laugh with you over a margarita after class. We’re not made to do life alone. At Rise, you’ll find your people and you’ll wonder how you ever worked out without them.
OUR MISSION
Rise Fitness is a community of like-minded individuals who want to laugh, cry, and most importantly, SWEAT our way through life together—one kickass workout at a time!

How is this community different?
There’s no better place for group fitness! Women supporting women in every aspect...fitness goals, mom goals, life goals. Cheering each other on and catching each other when we fall. It’s the most supportive, diverse, willing, and all around, amazing community.

How did you first fall in love with fitness?
I began running when I was in my early 20s. It was a stress reliever during college. For over 10 years, I ran multiple races and even placed in a few. Then, 2019 came and I had my 3rd baby in less than 3 years...running with three littles in a double jogging stroller didn’t cut it. So, I started lifting weights and loved it so much, I kept lifting.

Describe your ideal Saturday:
Getting a good workout done early, sitting on the porch with a chai latte afterward, and hanging out with my family with nothing to do and nowhere to be. Games and popcorn with my kids before bed, and movie night with my hubby.

How is this community different?
It’s always a partay! We have no shortage of fun around here. And the people! Omg, the people... hard working, inclusive, kind, hilarious, consistent, loyal, supportive AF & always down for a good time! It’s not always about what you’re doing, but who you’re doing it with!

What’s your advice for someone that is new to group fitness?
Don’t focus one bit on the numbers, the scale, or results. Focus all your attention on how you feel after you exercise! When you move your body for your mental wellbeing, you’re way more consistent.

What’s something that would surprise people about you?
I'm obsessed with golf. I love watching golf. I love playing golf. I love being at the golf course. I stalk PGA pros: Rickie Fowler, Justin Thomas, and Jordan Speith...and all I want for Christmas is to be their best friend.

My first group fitness classes were taught on the streets in Long Beach, CA more than a decade ago. Literally. Ok, it was actually outdoors on the beach and in a parking lot, while studying Kinesiology at Long Beach State.

What’s something that would surprise people about you?
I can’t get into Ted Lasso. I HATE burpees. I binge on jelly beans. Plot Twist: I get severe anxiety before classes or public speaking - like sometimes want to throw up and channel a made-up character while doin’ either - just call me Sasha Fierce.

What’s your advice to someone that is new to group fitness:
Start. Right. Now! Getting out of bed and walking through the door is the first step! Do not wait until you’ve lost 5 more pounds or until you feel more in shape to join a class. Do not wait because you feel like other people will be watching or critiquing you. We are ALL at our own levels. Come and prove to yourself just how resilient and powerful you are. Put a huge check mark down for the day that you did something for yourself! You will feel better. Look healthier. Eat cleaner. Have more confidence. Be a better wife, mother, friend. And most importantly, you will make yourself proud!

How do you want people to feel after your class:
I want them to feel like they are stronger than they thought. That they pushed harder than they knew was possible. And if it means they almost threw up, I’m okay with that. I never want someone to get injured lifting a weight or tackling a physical component they aren’t comfortable with, but I also never want someone leaving thinking they didn’t give it their all.
-
Take Audrey’s Classes: High

How did you first fall in love with fitness?
I've always been active in sports and dance, but it wasn't until I found this community that really motivated me to get into fitness. I loved how I felt mentally and physically, which is what led me to becoming an instructor.

March 2020! Crazy! I went to Bali, Indonesia in November of 2019 to study yoga and shortly after getting back we were in a global pandemic. So I began teaching yoga on Facebook Live and Zoom. It was a blessing to get to connect and do yoga with people from all over during that wild time.

The community at RISE is different because I feel like I can show up as my most authentic self and not only am I accepted, it’s celebrated! The energy at RISE is 10 out of 10. There is always someone to hype you but also not toxic positivity. RISE is a place you can always come to remind yourself you can do hard things and that you are not alone!
